Finding love is only the beginning.
What interests me is what happens after it finds you.
What does love ask you to confront? What does it expose? What does it require you to become capable of?
I wrote three women who meet love at three very different places in themselves.
Thalia did not expect Robert. She certainly did not expect to be loved with the kind of attention that notices everything.
But being deeply loved does not make love simple.
Sometimes the person who sees you most clearly is also the person who reveals everything you have not yet learned how to say.

I have always gone to books for more than a story.
I first went to Italy in a book. I felt butterflies in my stomach for the first time in a book. Books introduced me to soul music, longing, desire, and the strange intimacy of feeling something deeply when none of it was happening to me.
Now I write the kind of romance I have always wanted to enter completely.
I write about what happens when love gets close enough to show you yourself. The things you thought you had resolved. The things you did not know you wanted. The habits that kept you safe. The parts of you another person can somehow see before you are ready to look at them yourself.
In 2027, I am giving you three standalone romances.
They live in Riasles, a fictional island city built from pieces of the four countries and three continents I have called home.
But you do not need to know Riasles yet.
